Copper Beech Crafts

COPPER BEECH CRAFTS – ‘From simple stitches grow fabulous makes — relax, sew and create in the heart of the Devon countryside!’.

Welcome! I’m Kiri, and I’d love to invite you to join me at Great Barlington Farm, here in a beautiful part of North Devon, to discover the joy of creating by hand.

My classes explore the wonderful world of needlecraft, teaching you simple sewing skills and easy to make projects. All whilst enjoying other students’ company, sipping on a freshly ground coffee or tea and munching on a slice of my homemade cake.

Whether you’re excited about making something colourful for your home, crafting a thoughtful gift, or finally tackling that long-forgotten project, my classes are designed to be beginner-friendly and encouraging to all. With some fabric, scissors, and guidance, you’ll be surprised at what you can make!

I have been sewing for over 15 years and my mission is to show as many people as possible that needlecraft doesn’t have to be difficult or time consuming. There is joy in making with others and taking a time out of your day to let your creativity take centre stage, if only for an hour or two.

Come create something lasting that you can be proud of and show off year after year. Make a Christmas bauble or Christmas Tree and I guarantee it will make you smile when you take it out of the decoration box and think to yourself ‘I made that!’

Details:

Below, you will find a selection of classes to choose from. The majority are single sessions which are beginner friendly and give you the opportunity to make a completed project in class. Along the way I will teach you some simple skills and techniques which you can take away with you.

If the class needs the use of a sewing machine, you are welcome to bring your own or use one of the brand-new Brother machines I have available. These machines have been chosen with beginners in mind and have features that older machines don’t tend to have, making them easy to work with.

All other materials and equipment will be provided for each class unless otherwise stated. This will give you the opportunity of trying out a wonderful craft without needing to worry about buying expensive materials or buying a sewing machine. My aim is to introduce you to the joy of making something made by you!

I find sewing and snacks go hand in hand so no matter the length of the session, tea/coffee, cake or a cream tea will always be offered and longer sessions will include a light lunch.

If you have any queries about any of my classes, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
